Visiting

Dinton Pastures Country Park & Lea Farm

All are welcome to visit Dinton Pastures Country Park, which is operated by Wokingham District Council. There is pedestrian access to the Country Park and to the east bank of the River Loddon at all times. Car parks are provided, though they are closed at night.

Cafes and lavatories are provided at the Country Park centre and the Dinton Activities Centre and there is also a cafe near the children’s play area (see Dinton Pastures Country Park for opening hours).

The area to the north of White Swan and Black Swan Lakes is managed for conservation by the Country Park service in conjunction with Lavell’s Wetland Trust; visitors are asked to respect the natural environment and to keep dogs on leads in these areas.

To the north of Lavell’s Lake is Lea Farm Lake, which can be viewed from a hide and a viewing screen (restricted access) along the River Loddon footpath.

Whilst the main footpaths are flat and firm in dry weather, the area can be muddy and some parts (Sandford Lane, the adjacent lakes and the River Loddon footpath) are prone to flooding after heavy rain.
