Lavell’s Lake – 4 Yellow Wagtail one heard heading south then three seen heading south east over the Landfill, 20 Teal seen from Bittern hide (FJC); 2 Green Sandpiper, 2 Snipe, Kingfisher fishing off the posts, Little Egret (Andy Dearing)

Lea Farm Lake – 2 Whinchat on the boundary fence during the work party (FJC); Common Sandpiper flew calling to Tern Island, Hobby circling high over lake in from Lavell’s (Michael Hubbard)
Lavell’s Lake – 2 Raven low in the east, Whitethroat, Lesser Whitethroat in the big Hawthorne tree, Pied Flycatcher juvenile seen to land in the big Hawthorn scoped for 7 seconds and then flew out of sight (FJC); Hobby moving slowly over seen from pathway to the hide, 16 Teal, 13 Gadwall, 2 Little Egret, 2 Green Sandpiper just arrived on the bund (Michael Hubbard)
Sandford Lake – Common Gull adult standing in shallows between islands, 2 Kingfisher heard and seen crossing to islands together (Michael Hubbard)

Lea Farm Lake – 4 Common Sandpiper, 2 Whinchat on the boundary fence, Wheatear joined the Whinchat’s preferring the posts, 2 Kestrel drifting over towards the south west (FJC); Little Egret, Green Sandpiper (Marek Walford); 6 Common Sandpiper (John Warren)
Lavell’s Lake – Lesser Whitethroat bottom of Car Park field, Sedge Warbler at the back of Tern scrape (FJC)
Sandford Lake – Garganey juvenile seen again on exposed mud on the south side but swam away and quickly vanished (FJC)
Black Swan Lake – 2 Little Grebe, 2 Swift (FJC)
August 26th
Lavell’s Lake – 2 Green Sandpiper flew east over the Car Park field, Mixed flock of Blackcaps and Whitethroat on the west side of Car Park field (Richard Marsh); 2 Redstart at least one of them is a juvenile seen on the fence line from stile (Tim James); Peregrine flew over Bittern hide toward Lea Farm and perched in tree at end of Lavell’s (Andrew Curd); Lesser Whitethroat possibly two, Whitethroat female, Raven to the west (FJC); Water Rail juvenile in edge of north bank reeds and flying to open bare mud, Peregrine possible male hunting low over the Landfill (Trevor Guyatt)

Lavell’s Lake – Lesser Whitethroat with a large mixed flock that included Blackcaps and various Tit’s (Nick Kightley); Spotted Flycatcher reported from Teal hide, 23 Teal, Green Sandpiper (FJC); Lesser Whitethroat back in the hedge at rear of the Car Park field (Trevor Guyatt)
